Throughout my life I travelled and explored quite a few countries. I lived in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, North America and now, in Edinburgh, Scotland. For me, connection to the country starts primarily with the place and landscape that helps to define the character of the people living in a region. It is the dynamic and ever-changing backdrop to people’s lives. Often, my inspiration comes during hiking and interaction with my surroundings. I’m often influenced by momentarily beauty and fragility. That’s why in addition to the landscapes, I started painting flowers recently. It is an exploration of the legends, emotional connection and reflection. Painting process is often a spontaneous and intuitive. I use professional oils, make and prime my wooden panels from hight quality baltic birch wood. Every piece is custom made and carries on an artist vision, soul and emotion.
