About Macmillan

Macmillan Cancer Support provides emotional, physical and financial support to people living with cancer. The charity is there to help people during treatment, to help with work and money worries, and to listen when people need to talk about their cancer journey.

Being diagnosed with cancer is frightening at any time, but now as people are facing increased uncertainty, Macmillan’s services are more important than ever. The charity is now calling on the public to help raise vital funds to ensure cancer does not become the Forgotten C during the current pandemic.

Artist Wendy Helliwell knows exactly how important those services are.

“Macmillan made such a positive impact on our lives several years ago when we lost our mother.

We benefited greatly as a family receiving regular care and the warm faces made such a difference to what was a very difficult time.

I am delighted to yet again be supporting the Macmillan Art Show. The charity needs our help now more than ever and it’s amazing to see so many artists showcasing their work for such a great cause.”
