Originally from Tillicoultry, I graduated from Gray’s School of Art in 2001 and since then worked from WASPS studios in Aberdeen and then Edinburgh for several years before relocating to Fife. I am interested in visually exploring repetition that derives from a variety of themes such as human dynamics and autobiographical landscapes. This is expressed through a combination of collage, painting and wirework on an array of surfaces.
In 2019, just after returning to the studio after taking a career break to start a family, I was awarded the Visual Arts and Craft Makers Award (VACMA): Fife. Gaining this award has allowed me to become a member of Fife Dunfermline Printmakers Workshop and explore the potential of etching.
