Pat Young, Founding member “It has given me great pleasure to have been involved with Edinburgh Macmillan Art Show since its inception. Combining my love of art with the opportunity to raise vital funds for this charity has been very rewarding and I look forward to our event with continued enthusiasm.”

Jacqueline McKenzie, Project Manager  “This is my third year as Project Manager for Edinburgh Macmillan Art Show. I am extremely proud of this team, old and new, who have managed to produce our first online art show in extremely difficult conditions. Macmillan Cancer support needs our help more than ever this year – please enjoy great art for a great cause and help us to raise much needed funds.”

Christine Johnston, Treasurer “I am a Macmillan volunteer and enjoy the wide and varied aspects of the role such as wearing the Mac T-shirt to support the runners at the marathon, collecting cans full of money, bucket shakes and of course the annual Art Show. It’s a pleasure to work with the Macmillan Teams and see the wonderful work they do to help and support people with cancer.”

David Ritchie, Finance “This is my second year as a member of the Edinburgh Macmillan Art Show Committee helping to look after the finances as Assistant Treasurer.  I am thoroughly enjoying working with such a talented team of volunteers raising funds for Macmillan to help support the marvellous work they do helping and supporting people with cancer.”

Karen Wilson, Unframed Prints “This is my ninth year volunteering with the Macmillan Art Show Committee. Macmillan provides support to so many people and by being part of a committed Art Show team I enjoy raising funds for this worthwhile charity.”

Sujai Kumar, Technology and Web Guru “I am the keyboard monkey for the Edinburgh Macmillan Art show, helping with the website, social media, databases, and online processes. I’ve really enjoyed working with the committee who are passionate and kind and brilliant at what they do, and raise lots of money and goodwill for Macmillan.”

Ruth Davidson, Marketing  “This is my sixth year helping with the Edinburgh Macmillan Art Show. I am part of the marketing team and thoroughly enjoy volunteering for such a worthwhile charity. It’s particularly exciting this year to be part of creating an online show and raising money when so much of Macmillan’s fund raising has been cancelled.”

Carrie Pairman, Marketing  “Having been a Macmillan Volunteer for a number of years now in a variety of areas, I’m delighted to be back as part of the Marketing Team for the Edinburgh Macmillan Art Show for the sixth year. It’s an honour to work with such a committed team and see the energy and effort everyone puts in to help raise money and awareness for such a fantastic cause!”

Rebecca Gallacher, Prize Draw  “This is my fourth year being involved in the Art Show and I didn’t realise how much work goes into producing this show. I have previously been involved in supporting runners at the Edinburgh Marathon and when this post became available I jumped at the chance to get involved. The people are fantastic, the event is fantastic and it all goes to a great purpose.”

Fiona Hunter-Wood, Public Relations “This is my first year volunteering for the Edinburgh Macmillan Art Show, I am enjoying liaising with all the artists and hope we can make this years online show a big success raising as much as possible for this incredible charity!”

Beatrice Sbrissa, Curation Team “This is my second year as a volunteer curator in the Art Show Committee and I am enjoying it very much. I am happy to be part of this fantastic team and contribute not only spreading our common passion for the arts but also helping raise money for an important and honourable cause. This year has been challenging for everyone…but the show must go on!”

Marjorie Gardyne, Curation Team “I am delighted to be volunteering amongst such a talented and dedicated team. This is my second year on the committee and I have enjoyed the challenge preparing for the online show. My background is in art and I have always had a passion in discovering new talent and styles and fits well with my role on the curation team where we select the exhibits for the show. I’m honoured to be helping raise funds for Macmillan who steely drive to deliver such necessary care.”

Hilary Burwell, Curation Team “I’m delighted to be curating the Macmillan Art Show, reaching out to exciting new artists and helping make the selections for this valuable fundraising event. The show not only brings great art and collectors together but, thanks to the generosity of the artists and buyers, helps raise significant funds for Macmillan to continue to support people suffering from cancer. These funds are needed now more than ever. As curator of the NatWest Group art collection I am particularly proud to forge yet another fundraising link between the bank and this important charity.
