Evelyn McEwan

In 2004 I joined an art class run by a local artist where an absolute passion for art began and I’ve never looked back.
I paint in all mediums depending on subject and timescales, but my passion is watercolour both botanical and loose work. I paint wedding bouquets for that permanent reminder of an unforgettable day and am happy to take on commission work.
During ‘Lockdown’ earlier in the year, my garden became my inspiration for my work. Spring in particular when the weather meant the gardens came into bloom early. My painting ‘Spring Rainbow’ was born from that – enclosed in a circle of spring flowers of rainbow colours – hope indeed! ‘Facing the Sun’ comes from garden inspiration and in memory of those who passed during the pandemic. ‘Autumn Berry Hedgerow’ is inspired by walks in the autumn sun.
