Ann Armstrong

Ann Armstrong, Diploma in Drawing and Painting, Glasgow School of Art ’74,
I am inspired by the shifting atmospheres and geographies encountered through my travels, sketching and painting the changing light and weather using pastel, watercolour or oil paintings that could be the grey subdued light of a Parisian street in winteror a brooding Scottish hillside shrouded by cloud or the vibrant colours of the Mediterranean.
I have participated in many group exhibitions, including the Royal Scottish Society of Watercolour Artists, Royal Glasgow Institute, The Aspect Prize, Paisley Art Institute Drawing Competition, McMillan Cancer Annual Charity exhibition at Bonhams, Edinburgh and many group exhibitions with various galleries.
