To submit work, please complete the submission form at https://forms.macmillanartshow.org.uk/open-call

LIVE SHOW

To submit for the art show you must be able to deliver your work to the venue on Thursday 28thNovember and collect from the venue on Monday 2nd December if your work has not sold.

ONLINE SALES

We will handle all sales on our website as in the previous three years at macmillanartshow.square.site and will notify artists when their artwork is sold. Artists are responsible for the postage and packaging of work and sending to the buyer within seven days of the purchase, and should allow for the cost when pricing their artwork.

DEADLINE

Please submit the form above by midnight at the end of Monday 9thSeptember 2024. We will be unable to consider any submissions received after this date due to the number of exhibiting artists and to ensure smooth administration.

We will send reminders to invited artists in the run-up to the deadline, so if you are unable to participate this year, please just let us know. If you do not wish to be invited to future Shows, please tell us.

TYPE OF ARTWORK

For the live show, we will only consider:

  • 2D artworks (due to limited space)
  • Artwork that is ready to hang

Based on previous art show sales experience, we are especially interested in the following:

  • Artworks up to 100 cm x 100 cm in size
  • Values of between £50 and £800

As in previous years, we will also have a Print Rack for unframed prints. You may submit both ready-to-hang works and prints for both the live and the online shows.

DONATION TO MACMILLAN

Each artist is asked to make a minimum donation of 50% of the sale price when the work sells. Some artists choose to donate up to 100% of the value, which we greatly appreciate. Even though our fundraising has reduced, Macmillan Cancer Support has continued to support people living with cancer throughout the pandemic. ALL the proceeds from the online sale help Macmillan Cancer Support, so we would take this opportunity to ask you to please consider whether you can donate more than 50%. Based on artist feedback Macmillan Cancer Support will be able to make BACS payments to improve the payment turnaround time. Payment by cheque will still be an option if you prefer.

PROMOTION

We would appreciate any help you can give to promote the Show via your own websites and social media. Our website is currently being updated for this year’s Show, but links to our social media are below.
