Edinburgh born but recently moved to the Highlands. I have a deep love for nature and strive to capture the mood and atmosphere of what I paint. I love colour and when I was very young (before my teenage years) I was inspired by Van Gogh so much that I decided I was going to be an artist. Other artists I love and can relate to are Joan Eardley and Turner. Through friends, family and word of mouth I have always had commissions, as well as selling my work on The Mound during the festival from the age of 8. As a teenager I studied night classes at Edinburgh Art College (my mother had to give her consent as I was still very young) and I have also studied at Leith School of Art where I won a painting bursary after doing a 2 year painting course. In 2015 I exhibited at The Mall Galleries in London after winning the John Busby Drawing Award and was given the opportunity to spend time with other artists along East Lothian drawing seabirds. I currently work from home in my studio.
