I am an award-winning artist form Glasgow. I paint a variety of genre as and when I’m inspired to do so. Whether it be figurative forms or inanimate objects in landscapes or built environments, my creative process is dictated by the subject such as a figure pose or shapes within a vase of flowers for example. I love using colour and this is a feature of my style, along with the emotional response I have to what I’m painting, which in turn often varies how I apply the paint in each artwork. My paintings are created often using oils on board.
Having studied at Edinburgh College of Art, I have taught and tutored art since 2000 having worked on my painting full time over the past two years. I have exhibited widely in the UK and at important International shows such as the BP Portrait Award, The Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Scottish Portrait Awards. I take commissions covering multiple genres such as portraits, landscapes and still lives.
