My name is Caroline Ann Mordue, I was born and grew up in the Scottish Borders surrounded by the stunning rural landscape around the Eildons.
I take inspiration from my love of nature and have recently been painting a series of works based on the Scottish scenery. These paintings invoke feelings of being lost, but also at peace among the vast landscapes.
Graduating with a degree in Illustration in 2008 from UCLAN, I then moved to Edinburgh to continue pursuing my passion for art. Recently I continued my development by taking classes at the Leith School of Art – a week long portrait painting class taught by Owen Normand (2018), and two terms of an all day general painting class tutored by Catharine Davison (2018/19).
I have been featured in exhibitions such as Light, Land and Country 2018 at Gallery 23, the Macmillan Art Show 2018, and the Art Friends of St Columbus exhibition 2018.
