I studied at Edinburgh College of Art and graduated in 2001 with Ba (Hons) Design and Applied Arts. I have always been fascinated with form, colour, light & composition; viewing my world as though a drawing or painting. My beautiful, busy family life drew me to creating art based on solid form and structure. Still lives have always been a peaceful anchor. Lately the dream of exploring the wild and beautiful seascapes of the West Coast of Scotland has lured me to create landscapes of turquoise and gold. I enjoy capturing the fleeting flickers of dancing light and the smooth, translucent luminosity of the water with the brush and the contrasting angular, impasto knife-work of the rock formations.
