Although I gained my degree in furniture design at Edinburgh College of Art I quickly recognised that my real love was paint.
I predominantly paint in watercolour but use any material/medium that I think helps the painting. I often sketch and paint outside usually finishing the detail in the studio (spare bedroom).
I have shown in galleries and juried exhibitions in Scotland and again, this year I am proud to be included with sixteen artists representing Scotland, mostly RSW painters, in the international InArtFabriano watercolour exhibition in Italy.
Most recently I was an award winner in the Robert Noble Memorial Landscape Competition 2017 and the River Tyne drawing competition.
I tutor, love doing demonstrations and enjoy sharing my techniques and discoveries with my students.
When I can I garden, watch clouds and keep up with friends, taking in the odd exhibition, of course.
